Privacy Policy
1. Overview
At KrigPro, student privacy and security are our highest priorities. This Privacy Policy outlines how the KrigPro client application and local service process data when you crop and analyze sections of your screen.
2. Screen Analysis & Zero Persistence
KrigPro operates as a real-time viewfinder visual assistant. When you select and analyze a screen region:
- Transient Processing: Captured screen crops are processed in memory and sent securely via TLS/HTTPS to the KrigPro backend server, which securely proxies the request to the Google Gemini API to return answers.
- No Storage: Screen captures, image crops, text transcriptions, and OCR data are never saved on our servers, nor are they logged locally to your device. All captured regions are discarded immediately after analysis is completed.
- Lockdown Compatibility: KrigPro runs outside browser sandboxes as a native desktop overlay, ensuring no browser extension tracking or Lockdown Browser clipboard interference occurs.
3. Licensing & Telemetry
To provide a stable and secure experience, the KrigPro client communicates with our backend:
- License Validation: The app securely transmits your license key and an anonymous device ID to verify your subscription status against Stripe.
- Telemetry: Non-personally identifiable telemetry (such as startup events, active window modes, and error reports) is securely transmitted to help us improve reliability. No screen content or user queries are ever included in telemetry.
4. Data Transferred to AI Services
Images submitted via the viewfinder are analyzed by Google Gemini API endpoints. Google's API terms state that data submitted through paid API endpoints is secure, encrypted, and not used to train machine learning models.
5. Local Configurations
To maintain active access, we collect and store:
- License Keys: Validated license details are stored locally on your device in a secure config file.
- Device IDs: An anonymized hardware hash is sent upon activation to restrict license key usage to a single device.
6. Billing & Payment Information
Payment transactions are processed securely by Stripe. KrigPro never collects, handles, or stores credit card numbers, billing addresses, or banking details. These transactions are governed entirely by Stripe's privacy guidelines.
7. Changes to this Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy periodically to reflect shifts in AI services or software updates. Changes will be posted directly to this URL.
